The product

The most permeable system in the range, published at greater than 20 L/sec/m². Where the drainage strategy leans on the surface course, this is the product that carries the number. The resin darkens under UV.

  • SuDS-led paving where infiltration governs
  • Pedestrian areas and landscape paths
  • Areas draining to ground through a permeable build-up

Application data

Coverage, thickness, mix and cure, as declared by the manufacturer. Site conditions in the Gulf sit at the top of most of these ranges — allow for it in the programme.

Where not to use it

The limits are as much a part of the specification as the performance. Everything here is stated on the manufacturer's data sheet.

  • Resin darkens on UV exposure
  • Permeability is a property of the whole build-up — a permeable surface over an impermeable base achieves nothing
  • Do not apply in wet conditions
Specification clause

Permeable resin bound surfacing: Addagrip Terrabase resin bound aggregate surface course over a permeable base build-up designed to the drainage strategy. Surface course permeability greater than 20 L/sec/m² to BS EN 12697-40:2005. Skid resistance to TRL 176. Contractor to advise that the resin darkens under UV exposure. 7 days full chemical cure.
