The product
The non-UV-stable grade of Addaset. Identical performance in every respect except that the resin darkens under UV. Specify it only where the colour shift is acceptable or the area is sheltered.
Where it is used
- Sheltered pedestrian areas
- Areas where a darkening resin is acceptable or intended
- Budget-driven driveway and patio work
Substrates
- Concrete — clean, dry, free of laitance, oil, grease and loose particles
- Asphalt — clean and dry
- Joints reflected through the surface
Application data
Coverage, thickness, mix and cure, as declared by the manufacturer. Site conditions in the Gulf sit at the top of most of these ranges — allow for it in the programme.

Performance data
Every figure below is reproduced from the manufacturer's own technical data sheet, with the test standard it was measured against. The sheet itself is in the download section.

| UV behaviour | Resin darkens on UV exposure | Addagrip data sheet |
Where not to use it
The limits are as much a part of the specification as the performance. Everything here is stated on the manufacturer's data sheet.
- The resin will darken when exposed to UV — this is inherent, not a defect
- Application range is narrower: +5 °C to 25 °C
- Do not apply in wet conditions
Resin bound surfacing: Addagrip Addaset Non UVR polyurethane resin bound surface course, [10] mm aggregate laid [22] mm thick to the approved sample panel. Contractor to advise the Architect in writing that the resin darkens under UV exposure. Permeability to BS EN 12697-40:2005. Applied between +5 °C and 25 °C. 7 days full chemical cure.
Square brackets mark the choices that belong to the project. Send us the finishes schedule and we will return the clause completed, with the sample and mock-up programme against it.

Technical support for the design team
We supply the material and we apply it, so the specification and the workmanship sit with one party. Send a finishes schedule, an elevation or a mood board and we will come back with the system, the build-up, the sample programme and a completed clause.
