The product

Acoustic plaster made from recycled cotton fibres and perlite, used as the top coat for the Silk finish. Sprayed and trowelled at approximately 1.5 mm wet.

  • 16 mm (5/8") regular gypsum wallboard
  • Metal ceiling grid at 400 mm or 16" centres, as constructed for 16 mm commercial drywall

Application data

Coverage, thickness, mix and cure, as declared by the manufacturer. Site conditions in the Gulf sit at the top of most of these ranges — allow for it in the programme.

Where not to use it

The limits are as much a part of the specification as the performance. Everything here is stated on the manufacturer's data sheet.

  • Pot life of 12 to 18 hours.
  • Wear a respirator when mixing the dry powder.
  • Wear eye protection at all times.
  • Interior use as part of the Even Better system.
Specification clause

Acoustic plaster top coat: Fellert Even Better 2 by Styjl, mixed with water and applied by spray machine and trowel to approximately 1.5 mm wet thickness, as the Silk finish coat.
