The product

A water-based coating for acoustic ceilings that carries the colour. Applied correctly it does not reduce the acoustic absorption of the ceiling beneath it, which is what separates it from ordinary paint — and it is the route to restoring an existing acoustic ceiling rather than replacing it.

Application data

Coverage, thickness, mix and cure, as declared by the manufacturer. Site conditions in the Gulf sit at the top of most of these ranges — allow for it in the programme.

Where not to use it

The limits are as much a part of the specification as the performance. Everything here is stated on the manufacturer's data sheet.

  • Must be applied with an air-mix spray gun. Roller or brush application is outside the manufacturer's method.
  • Applied outside the manufacturer's method it can reduce the absorption of the ceiling beneath.
  • Interior use.
