The product
The closest, flattest finish in the Clayworks range: two 1 mm layers to a 2 mm total. It reads as a matt, even, hand-worked plane with the colour running through the body of the material.
Where it is used
- Interior walls and ceilings
- Fixed furniture
- Bathrooms and kitchens, outside wet zones
Substrates
- Gypsum plasterboard
- Masonry and blockwork
- Wood fibre board and wood wool carrier board
- Gypsum backing board, suitably primed
- Other substrates may require a backing coat — refer to Clayworks Design Details

- Not suitable for floors
- Appropriate for bathrooms but not wet or shower areas
- Not advised on doors or items that will be moved
